JoAnn and I have been married nearly 22 years now. She got me through Vet School and I got her through Nursing School.

We've got four great kids-great looking-look just like JoAnn. Our oldest, Kevin, is Going to Texas Tech this fall (guess his Aggie Dad talked too much about A&M!) to study Mechanical Engineering/Medicine. Adam is about 6'4" and enjoys looking down on his father. He is looking forward to his driver's license-luckily a good kid with good common sense. Ben is our quiet one. Might be a veterinarian like his old man. Might be a nuclear physicist. Might be a President. Don't know yet. Hannah, well....Hannah is a change for us after 3 boys. She is absolutely a hoot. Talks nonstop. Wears her heart on her sleeve. A real education.

JoAnn is a certified obstetrical nurse in a women's clinic in Tyler. She is still the one, a great Mom and, as it turns out, a pretty darn good wife.

I am still practicing veterinary medicine. I own, with my partner Paul Gainer, Flint Veterinary Clinic. The practice has been open since July, 1984. I can't imagine doing anything else. I look forward to seeing everybody in October.
