I've been in the Houston area since I graduated from UT
at Austin in 1980. It's really not so bad - lots of golf courses!!
I work for a wealthy family as executive v.p. of their operating
company, and advise them on how to spend their income without
reducing their wealth.
We spend most of our free time doing Cub Scouts & Girl
Scouts, or taking Jane to sailing weekends sponsored by Girl
Scouts at Galveston Bay. We are about to enter the No Quiet
Zone because both kids are starting to learn music instruments
(guitar and trumpet).
The family I work for owns a hunting ranch ("my ranch")
east of Rockwall, so occasionally I get to visit my mom, brother
Jim and his family, and Woodrow friends in the Dallas area.
Many of you know Chuck, who now lives outside Seattle with
his wife and two kids. He works for EDS, and continues to
dabble in politics when he is able.
I am really looking forward to seeing everyone in October.
Hope you can make it.
