After high-school I stayed in the Dallas area attending community college, ultimately graduating from a broad-cast school intending to pursue a radio career. Then I spent the next three years as legal guardian for my
Grandmother, who raised me, taking care of her and her affairs. After she died in late 1984 I completely changed my plans and decided to follow two previous generations of my family in the life insurance industry. After working in the home office of a local company, I came to the Borden Hamman Agency, a nationwide wholesaler, in 1987.

I'm still single with no children, so I get to travel a lot. Besides the United States, I've been able to visit Europe several times in the last few years, and hope to visit the western Pacific area later this year, or early next.
