It was good to receive a maiing from Scott Storm concerning
the reunion.
I have been at Old Dominion University since 1987. I am an
economics professor. I received my Ph.D from Texas A&M.
I like it here but it is not Dallas which is, of course, home.
I have a cat named Christine which I did NOT name after myself.
A psychology professor friend of mine said I would do the
cat great emotional damage if I changed its name from the
one the SPCA had for her. I have been living with that error
for a long time now.
The mexician food here has finally gone beyond the Taco Bell
level but the seafood is great here.
My work keeps me pretty busy. Most of my research entails
the intersection between economcis and political science and
I have worked with many different levels of government on
research projects. I received tenure so I am a fixed cost
here. I live on the beach and am able to watch large navy
and merchant ships go by, but looking at Dolphins is much
nicer.
I have developed a motto which people identify with me up
here; "Start off slow then taper off".
I hope this note finds all in good health.
