After WWW I trekked down to A&M and graduated with a
BS in Wildlife and Fisheries Science, Museum Science option,
and an 'MRS' involving a naval officer-to-be and moved to
Pensacola, FL. From there we moved to San Diego, CA; Virginia
Beach, VA; Kingsville, TX; Corpus Christi, TX; and back to
Arlington, TX. I worked in veterinary hospitals as receptionist
and exam assistant/kennel help and as a lab tech in an agricultural
entomology lab in Corpus during that 7.5-year stint.
So much for that college degree...but high on the satisfaction/fun
meter, low on the pay meter. Well, that marriage didn't work
out after all. I started court reporting school and, two and
a half years later, met my current hubby of 10 years, Glenn,
at the singles group in church. We are best friends and soul
mates; and our current activities include swing dancing, technical
rock climbing, kickboxing aerobics, hiking, camping, and whatever
else we can find to do around our little ol' house!
Our only 'child' is a blue heeler named Tucker. In '93 I started
my career as a freelance court reporter until eight years
later, when I became an official reporter in a county court
in Denton. Most of our trials are DWI cases, and I'm happy
to report that I've not seen any known Wildcats in there.
